The CW's Charmed: Review

There is so much "YES!" in this show I have no idea what to do with myself. I've read some bad reviews for the pilot but I really like this one. The drama, the intrigue, the story lines, their powers, and of course the casting!
These faces are very familiar to me so it was easy to quickly connect with the characters. Melonie Diaz has been on the big screen in hits such as "Be Kind Rewind", "Fruitvale Station", and "The Belko Experiment". Madeleine Mantock survived two seasons as Sunny's love interest on "Into the Badlands". Sarah Jeffery got her TV debut on "Wayward Pines" and played Harlee Santos' (Jennifer Lopez) daughter on "Shades of Blue".
The pilot is a great introduction into this world which begins with the vibe of the #timesup movement and quickly falls into family tragedy and an unexpected reunion with the missing third sister. As their powers reveal themselves, Harry the "whitelighter" or guardian angel reveals himself to them. Also, their presence becomes known to demons of the underworld.
There is a lot of thrilling action in this show as well as smart thinking, witty dialogue, and an unpredictable lead into the next episode. Bottom line, the show is three smart and strong women of color kicking demon tail. I'm here for it!
